Biographical notes
Tobias Schmitt was born on the 50th anniversary of Erik Satie's death in Frankfurt/Main. He studied art-history and computer sciences.
He started in the late 1980s with experimental music. With his solo project “Suspicion Breeds Confidence” and the diverse collaborations he released numerous recordings on international labels, played concerts, dj-ed and conceived sound-installations in North America and Europe. Furthermore he organizes concerts for experimental music and hosts the radio show “ Freundschaft ” in Frankfurt. In the 1990s Schmitt also expanded into visuals. Since then he designed plenty of print and digital media. The latter coincides with his works as a digital artist/programmer.
