ThrowAway Children

Throwaway Children is a modern rock band from Lafayette, Louisiana. ThrowAway Children was originally formed in 2005 by Mike "the roach" Conque and Christi Roxx. Vocalist Tim Keith became the third core member of the band. After going through several bass players and drummers, Bart Black became the longterm bass player for the band. The final piece to the puzzle was heavy hitter Troy "the destroyer" Janice behind the drums, giving the band the aggression it needed. Throwaway Children has recently released their first cd, entitled "Rise", in June of 2009. The cd features such tracks as "Broken Democracy", a song about how broken our government is. Other tracks include "Black", "Say My Name", and "Revenge". The name Throwaway Children refers to abandoned and neglected kids. The band also covers some of today's most popular modern rock acts, such as Shinedown, Nickelback, Godsmack, and Three Days Grace. The band is currently gigging around the entire south Louisiana area in support of the "Rise" cd.
