"..This is hip-hop. Not the rap-pop garbage that's dominating the so-called hip-hop scene.. ..I really hope this helps hip-hop make a real comeback. In an age where the only real hip-hop artists tend to get ignored in favor of gimmick-riding rappers, Prime Ape Got The Blues is a welcome relief.."(click here to read the whole review)

Bio etc:
" The Pantera of Hiphop. Hardcore razorblade blues. Crossfading between 80's Castlevania synths and 70's rock in a flipped landscape of drums and noise. - I made a deal wit the devil for these rap skills, so wassup!" - Shu' 2008
Summation: Formed in 2005 as a co-lab between friends, with three members, one shadow-lurking MC and one low-key producing duo. One of the producers soon deserted the project and in doing so created a new duo out of the two remaining members; Shuriken and Nois etc.
Cut off by the ankles: With five tracks created (more or less the first half of the album), recorded and mixed "Prime Ape" suffered a great loss, when, in Oct. -06 the recording studio chosen to be the home of creation for their first LP was broken in to, and all tracks plus loads of pre-production material was lost. Since the tracks had been developing for over a year and were of a very personal nature, to the duo, this was a serious back blow and a real confidence shatterer. The "Prime Ape" got the blues, literally.
Three Months Later: The duo is back in the game, recreating the album, from beginning to end, more furious and loaded with negativity than ever.
The follow up: Racing against time, the LP took form somewhere in the deep forests of middle Sweden. Rapping and producing were the two key words in the lives of the two band members thru out the following year and as the light in the end of the tunnel started to grow stronger the duo kicked in the high gear and went for the price. Still, in the endless tradition of set backs, the record was delayed further more due to several DJ drop outs, and left Nois no other option then to skip the scratch parts of the album and re-produce parts of it.
The present: Prime Ape Got the Blues’ debut album “ It’s not easy being a digital being†is now in stores!
