WHY IS THIS PROJECT IMPORTANT ?
All types of today..s popular music take root in Africa. There are millions of composers, songwriters, performers in short “great talents” in africa, who deserve the world..s attention but just as it is in other business fields, africa..s potential is always either being manipulated, exploited, ignored or downplayed. but we cannot only blame others for that since we cannot change others, UNTIL WE CHANGE OURSELVES. We must be serious in whatsoever we do, respect ourselves, be united and have more discipline.
Some facts: “africa contribution to the world trade organization is two percent (2%) only”, in music business the contribution is not even up to two percent (2%) in terms of record sales and international popularity”.
we have 800 millions consumers in africa and nigeria is the most populated country and one of the richest in africa.
I believe in human resources,therefore if we can educate and uplift the mind of the people of nigeria through music, that will influence the all africa and black diaspora in the world. The impact will bring an immense change in our lives, and to the value of african music & art and more importantly this will also change the way other world-citizens see Africans and the way they value our music, art, products or whatsoever resources we have, whether material or spiritual.
This project will definitely surprised many people, because the type of talents, the vibes and energies that we have discovered in Lagos is uncomparable to any other city we know in the western world.
The best artists were chosen to represent Nigeria in Urban Music Worldwide.
