About Me

Born in Chicago, Illinois, raised in the tiny town of Urbana, Ohio (we thought we were a big deal when we got a Pizza Hut, a McDonalds, and a Ponderosa Steak House one year). I'm the third of four children in a very musical family. I was about 15 years old before i realized that when I sang, people actually paid attention...but even if they didn't, I knew a few years earlier that singing, for me, equaled pure joy. After high school, I pursued a Liberal Arts Degree at Anderson University in Indiana, where Majored in Music Business, with electives in Musical Theater and Opera. It was during that time that my interest was piqued in the area of Contemporary Gospel music. I was I was privileged to work with such greats as Bill and Gloria Gaither, Sandi Patty, Russ Taff, and others who were prominent in the field during that time. After receiving my BA in Music Business, I moved to West Michigan as part of U Turn, a band that had an outreach to teens both here in the states and in Australia.Through a series of events with which I will not bore you, I found a job in radio…selling advertising at WJQK in Holland. That led to my job on the air at WAY-FM in Nashville, TN.I’ve been at WAY since the fall of ’95, where I’ve worked the overnights, Midday, afternoon Drive and Mornings…These days, I'm the host of the Top 20 Meltdown, every Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon on Way-FM.I’ve also had the extreme pleasure of working as a studio session singer here in Nashville, while working live with the Funk Brothers of Motown(the players responsible for cultivating the “Motown Sound”); which afforded me work with Mary Wilson of the Supremes, Joan Osborne, Chaka Khan, Tom Scott, Hall and Oates, Alison Krauss and Ben Taylor. I’ve been working as the background singer for Country Legend Lorrie Morgan since September of ’06, touring with her, and making frequent appearances on WSM Radio/GAC Television’s Grand Ole Opry Live. Thanks for stopping by!!!
