born in 1964 in Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Freddy developed his interest in music growing up listening to local famous musicians in the inner city of Abidjan, in the late 70's, he started playing an accoustic guitar his late mother bought for him.in 1978, Freddy participated in a popular local music contest the Piedestal where he was recognized as one of the best young bass players in the city of Abidjan. the same year, his band the kings was at the national music contest the Podium where Freddy was once again recognized as the best bass player.
winning these contests exposed Freddy to local and international artists such as les GOS de KOTEBA, ISMAEL ISAAC, SOLO JAH GUNT, MARCELIN YACE,
and the famous international ALPHA BLONDY.in 1988, he toured the world with the international music and dance troupe ENSEMBLE KOTEBA, by 1992 he won a scholarship to the Aabenraa (obenro) Institute of Art and Sound Engineering in Denmark.in 1996, Freddy moved to the U.S.A where today he is recognized as one of the best bass players in the African and Reggae music market. in 1999 he formed the IVORY SENSATIONS BAND performing at many festivals such as the Celebrate brooklyn festival and the Summer Stage in Central Park in New York City and the Black Arts Festival in Atlanta GA. fwl code="layout" "; I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!
