As far as I can remember I've had an infatuation with music. I started out playing keyboard then I moved to Alto Sax and then singing. In high school I started putting the pieces together and moved toward music production. I started off simply, using Fruity Loops to create songs. Then I moved into other music mixing software and expanded my creative efforts. During that time, I had developed an arsenal of beats, songs, lyrics, ideas and dreams. I would dream about playing shows, writing songs, and moving the world with my music. I got my first start gigging with an artist named Joe Charter who had released an album called Delorean. I played keys and provided background vocals for his live show. We played around Nashville and had an opportunity to play in Gatlinburg for a huge Delorean convention. It was actually pretty cool because it was my first time traveling with an artist and playing a show in front of a large audience. In fact, I'm forever grateful to Joe Charter for giving me a chance and helping me build my confidence as a performer.
I continued creating, participating in plays from comedies to musicals. I was in the musical "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" and I played Scroeder. I loved it because the role gave me an opportunity to showcase my vocal abilities. I had a choir director at the time named Victor Davis who truly believed in my vocal ability. He taught me how to control my voice and he is a major reason why I continued singing. He gave me many opportunities to develop as a performer and an all around artist and it was with his help that I was accepted into the All Mid-State Honors choir twice as first tenor and the All State Honors Choir once as first Tenor. By the way, thank you so much Mr. Davis for believing in me at a time when a lot of people didn't. Anyway, I continued creating in college at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. During this time I became more innovative with my writing and recording style. We started the Thabz C. and Mastermind project and played shows at UT with our new take on hip-hop. This started generating a buzz in the area that soon permeated to our hometown of Nashville. After more recording sessions and brainstorming we released our first album together called "Lyrics of the Dead Army: The Early Years." It's an underground Hip Hop album that is essentially the culmination of 4 years of early recordings.
The next major project was Bulk Delish which I was the front-man for. We were able to accomplish a great deal with this project exceeding many expectations. I'll end the extremely abridged story here although there is much more to be told. Feel free to check out Bulk Delish and Thabz C. and Mastermind Hip Hop to learn more about these projects.
In my personal life, I love to travel. I find that if I'm in one place too long I get antsy. To all my friends, family, and supporters thank you for allowing me to pursue my passion. And to my brother, thank you for always believing in my talent.
I am currently in a reprogramming phase and will be releasing new music in the summer of 2009. Stay tuned for more.
