The wolf is one of the most hated animals on on planet. The wolf is hated because people don't like them killing deer and elk and other big game animals that humans like to hunt themselves. So people go out and kill the wolf just for the sake of killing them. What kind of world are we living in where an innocent creature will be hunted down and killed out of pure hatred?
Man on the other hand can kill as many animals as he wants without any trouble and without any risk of someone coming and shooting him in the head.
If you ask me the real threat here is man and not the wolf. The wolf has NEVER done anything to deserve death, so why does man have to try to kill them? Because man hates to see what he is not and never can be.
"The wolf never kills for fun, which is probably one of the main differences distinguishing him from man." (Farley Mowat, Never Cry Wolf)
