W.E.S.T. is an ever-changing collective filled with the top musicians that Vermont has to offer. Playing everything from down-home folk americana, to highly effected trip-hop, to driving Afro-funk, to baby-making soul; W.E.S.T. has it all. A project that has grown out of an 8-track recorder, W.E.S.T. finds its backbone in the art of writing solid songs with good strong melodies, and enjoying the people you are playing with while doing it.
W.E.S.T. is fronted by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Will Andrews. Will has been touring the Eastern United States with his main act, Japhy Ryder, for the last four years, playing at such great venues as Burlington's Higher Ground, Troy's Revolution Hall, NYC's Knitting Factory, and Cleveland's Beachland Ballroom. Will has also traded licks onstage with The Parliament Funkadelic, Sam Kinninger, Paradigm, Rubblebucket Orchestra, and Alex Toth and Kal Traver (John Brown's Body).
Members of W.E.S.T. also include members of Japhy Ryder, who just recently have been signed to Ropeadope Digital and are hitting the road harder than before.
