DIRK NOWITZKI'S PROFILE Dirk Nowitzki was born in Wurzburg, West Germany. He was born on June 19, 1978. He never went to college. He is 7 feet tall and weighs 245 lb.. He played in Germany and won a title there. He lead his team in the Bundesliga, in 97-98 season. He lead them to a division title. Then he enter the NBA draft. He was picked Ninth in the first round by the Milwaukee Bucks. He was then traded directly to the Dallas Mavericks with all the rights for Robert Taylor. He was starting to really show his stuff near the end of the Mavs season. He was the second leading scorer and rebounder. He played on tons of championship teams before reaching the NBA. He played in the World Junior Select Team, German under-22 team and many other high ranked tournaments and teams. So far he has been the star of the Mavs. He lead them to the playoffs this 2001-2002 year.
