There is more support for this kind of a site since the demise of FLIDOP- more than I expected. Lots of local bands like Fourth River, CK9 and the Old E Allstars, the Mon City Ramblers and the many bands of Josh Clary consider it a useful resource for their promotional purposes, not to mention several cool venues such at the REX Theatre, Mr. Small's, Smalville, Bocktown, and Molly B's which can always use a hand spreading the good word- so I'll probably get back to working on this project in the near future.I am taking a break for a while to say the least and sometime in the near-future the bands and fans involved can decide on a new name since John doesn't like the similarity to his name. Something more intuitive would probably be better anyway. For those curious- I chose the name because John helped me decide to take on the project and I am still thankful for his past help but mostly just his motivation to start it, because I still think music promotion is very important, not just for the bands and the venues who need help with publicity, but mostly for the fans who deserve to listen to the best live music around!
