Camp Jam Chicago

About Me

Whether you're a beginner (minimum 6 months experience) or an accomplished player, Camp Jam has a program for you. Musicians (aged 11-17) will receive individualized instruction in guitar, bass, drums, keyboards or vocals from professional instructors. Every day is packed full with individualized instruction in a state-of-the-art studio setting, where young musicians can develop at their own level.Camp Jam offers aspiring young musicians an opportunity to explore self-expression and gain confidence in a fun learning environment. Not only will they meet and interact with other young musicians, but they also are given unique access to music professionals who share their experience and knowledge to help them understand some of the options open to them in the music industry. One of the most exciting aspects of Camp Jam is the program for band development. Campers who are already in a band are encouraged to bring their group with them so they can learn together. Campers who are not in a band will be grouped with other campers based on age and ability. Throughout the week they will work on music while polishing their image and understanding how to "capture" an audience. After a full week of practice and teamwork, they will have the opportunity to take the stage as "a band" and perform for friends and family.
