Influences: First of all, if you were born after the year 1990 (meaning you're 18yrs old) you might as well skip this section cuz these next few names won't mean a THING to you. You probably think takin it back old skool is R Kelly' and The Public Announcement. I bet even right now some of ya'll are thinkin' R KELLY and the WHO!?!??!OK!!! THE 70's & mostly 80's is where I get my flavor from!!!! LOL!! You can't argue that it was the last good era in pop/r&b/soul/ music. Yeah...we had a few good years in the 90's but after 95...you can forget. It's all been garbage ever since. They just kept FEEDING it to us through the 90's and by 2000....we started liking it. So I'm sticking with 80's and the 70's as my core inflluence era. But to answer this question:THE MUSIC OF... Earth Wind & Fire, Chicago, Prince, Donny Hathaway, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Marcus Miller (as pertaining to Luther Vandross), Teddy Riley, Kyle West, Tribe Called Quest, Pete Rock, HI TEK, Jodeci, The Gap Band, THE S.O.S Band (DEFINITELY!!), Quincy Jones (The production on Thriller is still yet to be surpassed) early MTV, FRIDAY NIGHT VIDEOS, SOUL TRAIN.
