Mike Flight is a producer, editor, director, writer, and director of photography. Mike has owned his own production company, MDXC Studios, since the age of 19, and has been making films since the age of 12. He got his first taste of the industry working on the set of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" and on the set for Alicia Keys' music video "Karma". He has been mentored closely by director Max Makowski (director for "Queer Eye" and director of several Sundance Films). Mike has been producing and directing indie films, commercials, and music videos for years and he keeps moving forward.
Mike attributes his success in the industry to the work ethic and persistence he learned as the Captain of the University of Maryland track team, along with his short professional track career. Mike now produces, writes, and directs commercials/infomercials for Infomercial Superstar Matthew Lesko, aka "The Question Mark Guy." Recently, Mike and Lesko were featured in the Washington Post, on the front page of the Style Section! Mike's commercials currently air on national TV stations. Mike has produced a total of seven commercials and one thirty minute infomercial, working with Lesko for a long stretch of time. In addition, Mike has developed two reality shows that he plans to shop to networks, and he helped produce/edit a third show with Tic/Tac Entertainment that is currently close to being picked up.
Mike has produced and directed twelve music videos, two of which have appeared for a month on Comcast on Demand, and others which will shortly be pitched both to Comcast, as well as major stations like MTV and BET. Mike also recently won a $5000 Music Video contest at www.myvideobattle.com.
Finally, Mike has been working hard on his first feature film that he will be co-producing and directing, "Meter Maids." This movie's proceeds will help benefit Cancer patients, and will include a star-studded cast of NFL/NBA players, famous musicians, and famous actors and comedians. "Meter Maids" promises to be one of the funniest comedies of the year, and a great way to raise money for charity!
