Cee Cee Michaela, better known to many as Yvonne—William’s zany cop fiancée on the hit UPN comedy series, Girlfriends—and most recently-known for her role as Simone in the movie, Hair Show where she stars along with Mo’Nique and Vivica A. Fox, is on a mission: She’s out to save our teens through GodzGirl/GodzGuy Networkâ„¢ (a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization she established in May of 2004). The mission of GodzGirl/GodzGuy Networkâ„¢ is to educate and empower young ladies ages 8-30ish and young men ages 12-30ish with services that will equip them to improve their quality of life. By establishing self-awareness, building self-esteem, promoting sexual abstinence, providing education and awareness in the areas of teen pregnancy, repeat pregnancy prevention, and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) such as HIV/AIDS, GodzGirl/GodzGuy Network’s desire for each young person is for him/her to have the chance to live a healthy and wholesome life and to fulfill their vision and purpose. “Many of these youth are considered at risk but, we here at GodzGirl/GodzGuy Networkâ„¢ know that they are really at risk to succeed!” she boldly proclaims. “We are thrilled about Atlanta being the official home for this third annual event: The GodzGirl/GodzGuy Networkâ„¢ 2007 Holywood Retreat . . . where Hollywood meets Holywood,” Cee Cee says. Approximately 800 youth from all over the United States are expected to attend this exciting three-day workshop being held June 14-16, 2007. Those in attendance will be in position to experience an abundance of eye-opening, informational workshops as well as opportunities to interact with some of America’s most prominent, speakers, authors, performers, singers, and positive Hollywood celebrities while being able to showcase their own talents. The Holywood Retreat is a God-ordained, God-directed, three-day workshop designed to educate, edify, and empower young men and women to achieve all that God has called them to be by living a life of purity. The 3rd Annual Holywood Retreat will begin with Terri-fic Thursday, where fun is the order of the day! The day will be spent at Six Flags over Georgia and will conclude with an off “tha chain” gospel music extravaganza. Fabulous Friday is next, which will include manicures, pedicures, facials, make-overs, light-touch massages, hair care, hair cuts for the young men, positive-images fashion show, a talent showcase, and much more! There will also be a Parents’ Corner with separate breakout sessions on communicating with your teens. Sacred Saturday will conclude our retreat with an all white Purity Ceremony with cake reception to follow. “And of course over the three days there will be surprise celebrity guests,” Cee Cee assures all.
