GABIDEALMEIDA is a modern edgy artist who mixes down-tempo beats with South American and UK influences around her captivating silken vocals.Combining diverse musical influences GABIDEALMEIDA has forged a new sound encompassing the attitude of PJ Harvey with the versatility of Bjork.Introduced to the underground scene whilst touring with artists such as Tricky, David Mc Almont and Anne Clark she began her first solo productions in 2003.Developing songs based around her distinctive vocal styling and guitar sounds, GABIDEALMEIDA debut offering, an E.P entitled “Paint My Colours”, is an unusual blend of passionate orchestral arrangements, hip hop rhythms, atmospheric sounds and dreamy vocal textures. Also featured are the talents of guest vocalist / rapper Francesco Piro (formerly vocalist with rock band “Senser”) the two voices entwine to create a seductive sound rich with bittersweet melancholy.Following its first performances “Paint My Colours” has provoked critics to describe GABIDEALMEIDA as “an authentic and expressive voice”, and her live performances have resulted in similar praise. Sua música e uma mistura de batidas de hip hop e lounge com guitarras inglesas, violões brasileiros e espanhois em volta de melodias cativantes e sensuais.Gabriela tocou com os artistas ingleses Tricky (Massive Attack, Mc Almont e Anne Clark, e daí veio a inspiração para compor e produzir seu disco solo.Na música de entrada "Better Than The Rest" ela conta com a participação especial do Rapper Francesco piro (ex membro da banda Senser).
