A lot of you know massage therapy to be, typically, a luxury only the wealthy partake in. However, Autumn Massage is of the mindset that getting frequent massages is as important as exercising regularly and/or eating a well balanced diet. While it is an amenity for those that truly need to relax (which is most people), it is also an excellent exercise in obtaining better physical wellness. This is why it is a treat we think EVERYONE should experience frequently.
Here are a few facts you may not know about massage therapy:
1. It relieves soreness and stiffness
2. Improves circulation, digestion and skin tone
3. Flushes tissue of lactic and uric acids and metabolic wastes
4. Bolster immune system function
5. Stretch and lengthen muscles, ligaments and tendons
6. Improved range of motion
7 Stimulate or sedate nervous system
8.Reduced recovery time from muscle strain and injury
9. Re-educate muscle tissue and connective tissue to a state of optimal relaxation
10. Helps avoid unnecessary surgery
11. A 1 hour massage is the equivalent to a half hour walk in terms of circulation with the blood and assisting the removal of toxins stuck in the body.
Please be advised, massage therapists are NOT doctors. We do not cure diseases or other pathogens, not even chronic back pain. However, if those things just HAPPEN to subside, that's a bonus. :)
