About Me

..Hello! The name's Christine and I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA. I have two degrees in Advertising and Broadcasting. I started a new job in New York City as a media planner last May.The photo above shows my coworkers and I at a bowling alley for the Zoom Marketing 2007 OOH Bowling League.Below is a photo of my coworkers, our friends at Clear Channel, and myself during NYC's Wine Week.I saw DJ Tiesto on Friday, July 20th at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. I was close to the front. Take a look at a video I shot:You can find DJ Tiesto videos and more at www.youtube.com/luvinmusic5 Here I am on the set of "Good Morning America" in New York City. Here's me with Marysol Castro & Juju Chang at Good Morning America. Me with Paul Boyd (co-anchor for Inside Edition) and Amanda (his wife) who is an alumni of Point Park. Here's some recent photos of an event I attended called "Lights! Glamour! Action!". It was a fundraiser for the Pittsburgh Film Office and took place on the Club Level at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, PA. I love Ria!I love music - and Satellite Records in NYC!Yes, I am a female DJ.It's always been a HUGE dream of mine to become a DJ for clubs. The name DJ GirL has just stuck ever since my friend DJ ReLic came around. I'm not so sure I want to keep the name. Anyone have any ideas for a new DJ name for me? Let me know...But I must clarify one thing. It has been hard for me to concentrate on DJing lately since I recently graduated from college. I have spent much of my free time enjoying my final years as a student and trying to network and find a good job to support me financially. Fortunately, all of that hard work paid off. I AM NOT GIVING UP MY DREAM OF DJING!!! I am simply prioritizing my time and putting it aside TEMPORARILY as I get settled in the big city. I am still DJing at house parties and clubs. However, I am not a professional at this point...yet. :) Music is the soundtrack to life. There is a different song for every different situation. If you can feel it, you have a gift that you must never let go. Spin and perform with all your heart and soul. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------- Looking for a party? I had to add it to my MySpace profile because I love New York so much...even though I live here now.

My Interests

MUSIC (of course), singing, taking walks, eating (ha ha), spinning on my turntables and CD players, hanging out with friends, making new friends, and just being around people. I also love to travel. I want to see the world.

I'd like to meet:

This sounds kinda funny, but I've always wanted to meet the Backstreet Boys (lol). It's a long story. Not that I'm still a huge fan and all but I go way back to being a big fan of theirs. It would just be great to meet them someday. I'd also love to meet Celine Dion because I wish I could sing like her. I love the Apprentice as well - meeting Donald Trump would be very inspirational. Also, anyone in the advertising or broadcasting industry is always a pleasure to meet with. Also I love meeting disc jockeys and people with the same interests as me. It's always a lot of fun to exchange music and ideas for a future performance.I have a pair of shoes I call my "DJ Shoes" that I had signed by Darude, the artist who wrote the song "Sandstorm", a few years ago. I would like to have other DJs sign my shoes for good luck. I'm a little disappointed that I didn't try to meet BT when he came down to Bash Nightclub a while ago. I am on a mission to collect items from DJs for good luck and advice.

Music:

I like to DJ and I love listening to techno, which includes Trance, Happy Hardcore, House, Dance, etc... I could go on for hours. I especially love progression trance. Here's some of my favorite DJs: *DJ St. John*Ian Van Dahl*4 Strings*Paul Van Dyk*Basement Jaxx*The Mystery*The Cynic Project*Alice Deejay*Chicane*DJ Sammy*DJ Tiesto*Darude*Shape:UKetc... I could go on forever.

Movies:

Ouch, I don't watch too many movies. Um, I like "Ghostbusters I and II" a lot. But my FAVORITE movie of all time will always be "City of Angels". It makes me cry every time.Other recent favorites include Anchorman any of the Family Guy episodes.

Television:

The Apprentice and Grey's Anatomy! Those are honestly the only two television shows I have time to watch with my crazy schedule. My new favorite TV show: "How I Met Your Mother" - Mondays at 8pm eastern on CBS

Books:

Scotty Says..."Why Do People" Understand Yourself By Understanding Others by Scotty Gunther :) www.scottysays.comI love any books about advertising and media as well. I find it enjoyable to read stories about ad campaigns - some can be pretty funny.

Heroes:

Donald Trump. He can be strict, but he worked his way up to the top and is a great example of the success I dream of achieving.
