Currently in the studio, we still love their EP The Element of Surprise, and that only has four songs. With a sound that gets the best of Paramore and Fallout Boy with their girl / guy lead vocals, it’s impossible not to be caught up in the excitement these youngsters put into their music. Here’s hoping for a big 2010.

Never has high-energy punk/pop been spunkier. Life On Hold at their worst kind of sounds like the punk rock Donnie and Marie. Driving music with great hooks and tight harmonies couldn’t possibly sound sunnier and cheerier than the four songs on this EP. The trouble is, with all the high fructose corn syrup dripping on the eardrums, the songwriting is effervescent and relentlessly memorable. The cynical musician in me wants to hate this as much as all the mindless pabulum played on Mix 98.5, and yet the songs still sound fresh and earnest. Damn you, Life on Hold!! Damn you to hell! Life On Hold, a band that Ricci (and BMS) has nothing but praise for. "I will tell you right now that they are one of the hardest working bands in Boston," says Ricci. "They get it done and they're a lot of fun onstage. They are young, but they're certainly one of the most professional and nicest bands around. They're really good people, I like them a lot." (Jon Ricci of Lansdowne) (article by Jed Heneberry)

"Life on Hold, a band from Billerica, Mass. Their performance took place on a smaller, solar-powered stage. Their half-hour set was extended an additional 20 minutes because of audience demand for their music. Life on Hold brought to the stage a solid, tightly performed combination of metal and hard rock instrument work with an energetic and powerful female lead vocalist." (John Tyczkowski - The UCONN Daily Campus)
01/10/10 In the studio now! Close to being done with guitars, start vocals tomorrow! Can't wait for everyone to hear the new stuff. Also just added some new shows, come hang out!12/23/09 It was brought to our attention that our myspace player has been acting up; the first two songs haven't been playing. So to fix it for now we put in a couple blank tracks so the rest of our songs will still play!In other news, we're down to the last week before the studio and we couldn't be more excited.12/19/09 Thanks to everyone that came out to the BMHS the other night! We had a great show and met some really great people! We just finished up pre-production work and we're psyched. It's crunch time and we're trying to find as much time as we can with the holiday season coming up to practicepractice as much as we can before the studio!12/9/09 We're playing Hot Topic tomorrow in Marlborough at the Solomon Pond Mall! If you're in the area, come by at 7pm and enjoy the free acoustic show! We'll be hanging out there afterward for a little bit too, so feel free to come hang out!12/3/09 Just launched our new myspace!!
