I love learning, especially languages, and desperately miss being in school. I've studied Spanish, French, Italian, even a little Russian, and only regret that there is so little time! I love to travel and learn about other cultures. I've been a student of tae kwon do for 7 years and find myself bizarrely dependent upon it. I love to paint and draw but don't make time often enough, would love to study photography (old school photography) but can't afford it!
I'm the only human being in Nashville that knows as little about music as I do, but in my defense I have to say at least I have diverse tastes! Most of the time my favorite kind of music is hip hop, but I also love classic Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Alison Krauss, Aerosmith, and I've really been enjoying Lilly Allen and Amy Winehouse lately. Play any kind of music for me in the right mood, and I love it. If I don't, play it again for me later and I might start...
Snatch, Fight Club, virtually ANY martial arts movie (No kidding, I ADORE Jackie Chan and Jet Li). I think Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, House of the Flying Daggers, and Hero are some of the most beautiful and touching films I've ever seen. Love Actually, which never fails to make me happy, Amelie, Le Chateau Ambulant, Emperor's New Groove. I LOVE almost all movies, but you can't pay me to watch a horror film.
Friends (seriously, to me it never gets old) Grey's Anatomy (favorite character EASILY Dr. Bailey) West Wing (I'm going to marry Josh, probably) Not a fan of the reality shows, but then again even the shows I love I wait till the DVD comes out, so I don't really know what I'm missing.
Just read Fight Club for the first time...thought the movie did a pretty darn good job! ANYTHING by Bill Bryson (the man's a genius), but in all honesty I'll read pretty much anything. I LOVE books (fiction preferred, with the notable exception of Mr. Bryson), but I have to limit myself because I don't understand moderation and can't stop reading a book till it's done. Seriously, that person that you might see reading a novel at a traffic light? Me.
Anyone that shines. I admire proficiency.
