About Me

I am 24 years old, and putting my degree to very good use as I waitress my way into a mortgage payment...I just moved to Murfreesboro into a house that my sister and I bought, so now I have to learn about lawn care. Don't worry, I bought books.......................My family means the world to me...I have six brothers and three sisters (well, four now!) and the most amazing parents ever... they now have a pool so I can spend as much time as I want with water up my nose. So happy......................My friends are increasingly proving themselves to be the most fantastic people that exist so that works out pretty well for me, and proves that I have good taste in people. Which I knew. Of course.................................Can you know a person by what they love?............................I love... Tennessee thunderstorms...reading a good book until my eyes burn...kicking people in the head (not in dark alleys, at my tae kwon do school. Geez, what do you think I am, a sociopath?)...ice cream right out of the container (moose tracks, claro) dancing with a REALLY good partner...hell, dancing alone is great, too! Watching old movies and believing in the purity they always represent...purity of humor, of character, of honor, of friendship, enmity, and of course, love. Going to an opera and admitting that a tiny part of me just likes it because it makes me feel cultured. I love airplane food. No kidding, I love it and everything it represents. And I love drinking tea on an airplane. OK, I just love being on airplanes........................I love my family, and how they're always happy to see me. And how even my manly brothers will still say 'I love you.'............................................I love my friends, because we don't always have to do stuff, we can just stay in and watch movies or gossip... But when we go out, we have a DAMN good time!....................................................I love to be alone. :)

My Interests

I love learning, especially languages, and desperately miss being in school. I've studied Spanish, French, Italian, even a little Russian, and only regret that there is so little time! I love to travel and learn about other cultures. I've been a student of tae kwon do for 7 years and find myself bizarrely dependent upon it. I love to paint and draw but don't make time often enough, would love to study photography (old school photography) but can't afford it!

Music:

I'm the only human being in Nashville that knows as little about music as I do, but in my defense I have to say at least I have diverse tastes! Most of the time my favorite kind of music is hip hop, but I also love classic Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Alison Krauss, Aerosmith, and I've really been enjoying Lilly Allen and Amy Winehouse lately. Play any kind of music for me in the right mood, and I love it. If I don't, play it again for me later and I might start...

Movies:

Snatch, Fight Club, virtually ANY martial arts movie (No kidding, I ADORE Jackie Chan and Jet Li). I think Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, House of the Flying Daggers, and Hero are some of the most beautiful and touching films I've ever seen. Love Actually, which never fails to make me happy, Amelie, Le Chateau Ambulant, Emperor's New Groove. I LOVE almost all movies, but you can't pay me to watch a horror film.

Television:

Friends (seriously, to me it never gets old) Grey's Anatomy (favorite character EASILY Dr. Bailey) West Wing (I'm going to marry Josh, probably) Not a fan of the reality shows, but then again even the shows I love I wait till the DVD comes out, so I don't really know what I'm missing.

Books:

Just read Fight Club for the first time...thought the movie did a pretty darn good job! ANYTHING by Bill Bryson (the man's a genius), but in all honesty I'll read pretty much anything. I LOVE books (fiction preferred, with the notable exception of Mr. Bryson), but I have to limit myself because I don't understand moderation and can't stop reading a book till it's done. Seriously, that person that you might see reading a novel at a traffic light? Me.

Heroes:

Anyone that shines. I admire proficiency.
