I am here for Friends

About Me

So, seriously, I swore up and down that there was no way that I would ever have a MySpace page, but here I am. Well, my cousin Bill left for Iraq this week and MySpace is supposed to be a good way to keep in touch. (UPDATE: Bill is back from Iraq! We are so proud of his service and are soooo glad he is back!) Plus, I think Angela would have killed me if I didn't finally break down and join. It is kinda funny to see everyone's pictures and hear what they are up to, so I guess it is not all bad!Anyway, as you can tell from my profile, I live in Orlando for now, but would love to come back to the Carolinas. Orlando is not really where I though I'd end up, but it really just a temporary stop for me. Eventually I want to make raising a family (in the Carolinas) my full-time job before too long.

My Interests

Politics will always be my 2nd passion (after my husband, of course!). I am a die-hard Southern Republican, just ask anyone who has ever argued with me. I believe that the old-school Reagan-style Republicans should rise up and make this country the best that it can be. Gamecock Football!!

I'd like to meet:

Ronald Reagan, George Strait, and Jack Taylor.

Music:

Love classic country, any kind of rock, but especially 90's rock as of late. I still can put up with some of that old rap music that we listened to in high school, but new stuff is pretty bad.

Movies:

Silence of the Lambs is the best ever!

Television:

The Office - best show ever, seriously watch it! Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Intervention, and any of those crime documentary shows. The Soup is hilarious, too!

Books:

Just finished Cold Mountain - it was pretty good. The Fountainhead is a great book, read it twice, though. To Kill a Mockingbird is my all-time favorite. Just read Stephen King's The Stand expanded edition, it is freakin' awesome!!

Heroes:

Ronald Reagan! And my paternal grandfather - Baba - Fletcher Grey Rush, he's been dead for 5 years and I miss him and my grandmother Bee so much. He was one of the greatest men that ever lived.
