And thus begins the saga of the Ra Street Team. A fanatical group of people who all come together for one common goal... to spread the word of a great band with intelligent, thought-provoking songs! The street team started off simple enough - it began as a database on one fan's computer to keep track of where all the Ra fans who signed up lived. A simple database so that Ra fans could find others in their area. It quickly grew to become the Official Ra Street Team! The Ra Street Team works in conjunction with Rafans.net and the members of Ra to ensure the most accurate, up-to-the-minute information. It is the most intimate and involved street team anyone has ever been or will ever be a part of!
Tell me what it is I'm meant to do...
The Ra Street Team is made up of dedicated members from all over the world, each committed to doing their part to get the word of Ra out. It is unique in that it is a Street Team run by the fans for the fans. Our motto is : "We are one big neurotic family!!!" Everyone does their part in their own unique way! Some pass flyers, some make sampler cds and give them to anyone who will hold still long enough to grab one! Some donate money to help keep the dream alive, some make the merchandise that members wear faithfully every time they leave the house! Others play the music everywhere they go, including at work! This motley group of soul mates find ways to incorporate street teaming in everything they do! To this over zealous bunch, street teaming for Ra is a way of life! The Street Team has it's own line of merchandise! Even the guys in Ra have their own hoodies and t-shirts!!
If I succeed, I will save my fellow man?
The Ra Street Team is about more than just promoting Ra. They have also set up a fund for donating to worthy causes. Each month, they pick a new organization and send in a donation in the name of the Ra Street Team. They have also established the Ra Extended Network Team - whereas bands who have toured with Ra can contact the Street Team when they go out on their own and get members in those areas to help hang flyers and get the word out about their shows. The Street Team has also added another level of Street Teaming to their long list of skills. Extreme Street Teaming is the term used to describe members who go above and beyond the call of duty! Some examples of Extreme Street Teaming include buying tickets at shows to give away at the door compliments of the Street Team and buying copies of Ra cds for members who can not, for whatever reason, buy a copy. The Street Team believes in helping out in all areas... we are part of something much bigger than ourselves -
