I am here for Friends

About Me

I got a degree in theater performance from Illinois State, and have never used it. (Do they even offer a refund??? NO!) I am a solitary practioner of paganism, and I go to a unitarian church. I had been working for a large insurance company for 5 years - the name will be withheld to protect the innocent. I was in training, and I'm very interested in HR Education and curriculum design. I have recently moved back to IL from MO, and I'm still trying to get a job.

My Interests

Keith and the Girl podcast, knitting, This American Life (I Ira Glass!!), NPR in general, beading/macrame, spritual discussion, other pagans and unitarians.

I'd like to meet:

Friends! Lots and lots of friends. I've gone through some life transitions lately (ended an old relationship, started a new one) and some old friends have been lost along the way.

Music:

Right now I tend to balance my love of Kid Rock with the need for peace found by listening to Josh Rardin. I love musicals, and I tend to be something of a Rent head. Guns and Roses. Melissa Etheridge. Indigo Girls. Amanda Marshall. 80's and 90's hair bands.

Movies:

Thelma and Louise, Real Genius, The Day After Tomorrow, What Dreams May Come, Resevoir Dogs

Television:

Absolutely nothing will ever replace Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Sex and the City in my heart. I also admit that I've been following Flavor of Love/I Love New York/Charm School. (That's really embarrassing!) One of my greatest TV obsessions is the A&E show Intervention.

Books:

The best book ever: The Single Girl's Survival Guide by Imogene Weber.

Heroes:

As a pagan, I sometimes look at my experience of this life divided into four categories: inspiration, emotion, thought, and manifestation.  Those categories correspond to the four archaic element...
