I am a single 42 year old man living North of Pittsburg Pennsylvannia. I am a typical American mutt - mostly Scotch Irish but I am also Irish,German,English ,(Native American "Cherokee") some French. My mother was born in Alabama , My Dad in Pa. So I am both Reb and Yank( I have ancestors who fought on both sides of the war) and am proud of my ancestry!I am a carpenter by day, Musican by night and sometimes civil war reenactor and movie extra on weekends. I play bass and sing with "LARRY BELLI AND THE MERCS BLUES BAND" we host a blues jam at the BLIND PIG in New Kensington Pa every Wed night. I also play guitar,piano , mandolin ,trumpet, bugle ,drums and violin. I am a civil war reenactor with the 78th PVI. I always look forward to putting on the wool and burn some black powder with my Pards!!! I was named "SOLDIER OF THE YEAR FOR THE UNITED STATES VOLUNTEERS" 2007. My picture was the cover of the news stand edition of THE APRIL 2005 NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC. My picture was also in FEB 2004 ISSUE OF "FHM". I played a looter in THE JOHNSTOWN FLOOD on PBS. I have appeared as an extra in the AMAZING RACE on CBS. I was also an extra in "THE HISTORY CHANNELS 10 DAYS THAT UNEXPECTEDLY CHANGED AMERICA" (See Video trailer below I am all through it) & SHERMANS MARCH .I am in an Imax film Called FIELDS OF FREEDOM, dvd movies SHOT TO PIECES and CONFEDERATE MINUTES . The last show I worked on is called LINCOLNS GETTYSBURG ADDRESS. It should be out this winter on the Discovery Channel. I also enjoy acting with the FREEPORT FESTIVAL THEATER every summer.Last I a very much interested in saving our sacred battlefield lands! See my blog for more info!

best moment at an event When everyone plays their parts and I have my civil war moment!
worst moment at an event When it turns into a farb fest powder burn! Senerios busted:(
what type of tent do you use depends on the event. I usually just sleep by the fire with a blanket and a ground cloth with my pards, Sometimes I set up a shelter half, some early war events A frame tent
do you take hits All the time. I very seldon survive a battle:)
if so what was the best hit you took When I and my pards took a canister hit at Cedar Creek against a Reb Battery We all went flying just a s the guns fired . You should have heard those Reb boys cheering! We made their day!
do you use a cooler for food, or use hardtack and salt pork in your haversack Hard tack, salt pork, bacon etc authentic foods sometimes I break down and hita food vendor at main stream events

"Save Our Battlefields"! -Battlefield Preservation

   We lose one acre of civil war battlefield every 15 minutes to developement! Malls, industry ,housing plans...etc ! Only "15%" is protected by the federal Goverment! Most battlef...
