I recently ran across some new Plumley family members in North Carolina.In Burke County, North Carolina: Abraham Plumley was on the tax roll in 1778. Abr. Plumley was a witness aginst Torry Wm. Murry on Nov 12. 1782. Abraham Plumley bought 600 acres from Joseph Dobson July 29, 1785. Abraham Plumley was deputized by the court in July 1786. Abraham Plumley was involved in a court case with John Duckworth in Oct. 1786. Denton Plumley was involved in a court case with Jas. Rutherford in Oct 1787. Willam Plumley supplied a bond for Francis Martin in a criminal case in July and Sept 1788. Abraham Plumley registered 50 acres next to Abraham Denton's propery on Nov 17, 1788. (I wonder if this is where the "Denton" first names in the Plumley line originated.) Abraham Plumley registered 50 acres next to John McDowell's property on Nov 17. 1788. Abraham Plumley was involved in a court case with the executors of the Dobson estate July 21, 1791. Denton Plumley was on the admistrative accounts in 1795. Abraham Plumley was on the tax roll in 1795. Abraham Plumbey, Gdn. to William, minor April 25 1793. (?) Abraham Plumley had 50 acres and one poll on Joseph Dobson's Co. in 1797. John Plumley was listed as a son-in-law and heir to William Neill in his will June 21, 1797. Abraham Plumley was on the tax roll in 1798.In Guilfoird County, North Carolina: William Plumley owned property in Oct 1782.Some early names in a different place.Wally Plumley Acworth, Georgia
