Jazmin M.

Jazmin Miranda was raised in Piscataway, New Jersey. Since she was a child, Jazmin always attended church and grew up in a Christian home. She developed a strong interest in singing, dancing, and acting at a very young age and began taking professional classes to further develop and perfect these interests. Her biggest dreams were to become a successful R&B singer. Through the years she tried every opportunity she could get in the secular world. She would often take trips to New York City to audition for shows such as American Idol, Showtime at the Apollo, Star Search, etc. She was slightly discouraged when these doors weren’t opened, but she never gave up. By the age of 19, Jazmin began trying to make an R&B album, but things just weren’t working the way she had planned.
Jazmin was always active in the church. She was a member of the drama ministry, choir and as a current member of Christ Church she is one of the worship leaders. Jazmin always knew she had a call and purpose on her life but didn’t know exactly what it was until she joined Christ Church. Her faith, beliefs, and teachings began to grow stronger in her than ever before. Here she met a young anointed man, who had just completed his first worship CD, and by God’s divine intervention, Jazmin began accompanying him at many different functions ministering God’s Word. Jazmin finally realized God’s call on her life. She took a complete 180 degree turn and rededicated her life and music to Christ. "I was trying to do what I wanted and not what God wanted in my life. I moved to the passenger seat and finally let God drive!!" Many doors started to open and Jazmin began working on her first gospel CD. At the age of 23 she released her debut album entitled “Finally Free.” This CD is a mix of urban latino flavor and the sweetness of worship. Jazmin has full belief that we can still worship and praise our Savior through whatever style of music, such as R&B, Hip-Hop, Latin, Dance, Country, Jazz, etc. Jazmin is now working on her sophomore album due to be released sometime in 2010. She hopes to inspire and touch the heart of the world with God’s word.
Jazmin has had the opportunity to minister at various events around the tri-state New Jersey and New York area and has also worked with many upcoming artists such as A-Natural, Forgiven, Gospel City, Antione Hart, Chanje, One Mission, GC, Shinwar, Monifa E. and Christofire. She was a nominee for the Ensound Music Awards and also a finalist in the American Soloist competition hosted by Autumn Blaze and Star 99.
