In 1916, Charles F. Seymour proposed a state-wide organization to honor outstanding high school students. In 1921, the CSF Board of Directors initiated a program with several colleges and universities to award scholarships specifically to CSF Life Members. The California Junior Scholarship Federation was founded in 1967 to honor outstanding junior high students. The rapid growth of CJSF in recent years has greatly strengthened CSF and the joint organization continues to foster the recognition, motivation, and education of academically talented students.

Hello, Welcome to Carson High School's CSF Myspace. If you don't already know, CSF stands for California Scholarship Federation. The California Scholarship Federation is 85 years old, and in that time has been an anvenue for the best students from each California high school to meet together, to share ideas and fun, and to offer significant service to both school and community. At Carson High, CSF's Advisor is Mr. Lee Cox (who is currently in room Z13). In order to qualify for CSF, you fill out an application at the end of each semester. Qualification requires no D's on your semester report card and also a minimum amount of 10 points (point system is explained on the application.) Each semester you get the opportunity to join this club at Carson. In order to recieve your gold pin at graduation, you must complete a total of 4 semesters (or 2 years) of being an active (completing a minimum of 10 community service hours and paying your dues of $3.00) member each semester. Browse, look around and make sure to message/leave a comment if you have any questions about the club or any of it's members.
