About Me

Oxford, Ohio based singer/songwriter Lisa Biales grew up in a musical family. Her dad played upright bass and her mom sang and acted in Community Theater. Lisa's brother is a drummer and showed her how to play the guitar when she was eleven and that started a long relationship with creating. The theater bug bit too, Lisa started writing plays as a youngster, casting and directing her playmates in a garage that was turned into a theater for the day. No matter what the play, the big finale was always a heartfelt rendition of Moon River. Lisa has been performing all her life. Since those early days, Lisa earned a Masters Degree in Theater from Ohio University, where she loved delving into acting and play writing.Lisa started her musical career at the age of thirteen. She has done voice over work and jingles for big corporations, performed at political functions for State and National officials and crooned in the homes of the rich and famous. Sang demos for Platinum award winning songwriters and recorded with Grammy award winning film producers. Fronted a fabulous dance-party-wedding band, directed musical theater, wrote, produced and directed musicals for children.
