About Me

So another year passes .... I can definitely look back on 2007 with some great memories. In fact, as a big music fan, I often find that memories and moments in my life often have a song that reminds me of them. There are two songs that stand out for me this year. My most played song was Taylor Swift's Tim McGraw. I simply love this song.
But the most memorable song for me in 2007, for many reasons, will always be Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars.
Here are pics of my young nieces!
The 2007 Mascot Derby turned out to a real thriller!
I've followed football, and Arsenal, since the 1979 FA Cup Final ...
My biggest football passion is watching England, and these are my two most memorable moments:
England hosted Euro 96, and the entire country had football fever. But the hosts had to draw or win their final group match against the favorites Holland to qualify for the quarter-finals. Paul Gascoigne was at his imperious best.
England were in danger of failing to qualify for the 2002 World Cup. A home loss to Germany, and the resignation of the manager, left them in deep trouble. Then they had to go Germany, a place where no country had won in over 30 years and get a result. Michael Owen played the match of his life.
I play pool at Amsterdam Billiard Club during Team 9-ball on Thursday nights!
My very talented brother on our last night out in New York
Another one of Andrew with my best friend Lena.
Growing up my favorite TV show was Star Fleet! I recently saw the entire series again, and it brings back SO many memories! Here is one of the big battles of the show : Dai X vs Death Ball.
Here is Dai X vs Imperial Cruiser

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

When Boris Becker won Wimbledon, my Mom said he'd be a great friend for me. Twenty years later, still no Boris. His loss.

I did have a drink with Jessica Alba in Vancouver. She entered a bar/restaurant and I just HAD to talk to her! But I didn't get her number. Her loss :)

I wouldn't turn down a drink with Miranda Lambert though! This single, critically acclaimed performance at the 2005 CMAs made the unknown smalltown girl an overnight country superstar. I still remember watching it live, and thinking it was the best live performance at an awards show I've ever seen.

Teacher and the pupil

The proudest moment for a teacher is to see their pupil do well. I remember when Jen, a losing 2 when she joined my team, qualified undefeated for the Roebling singles tournament as a 3. It made me fe...

Chasing Cars

Sometimes you love a song because of the melody. Sometimes you love a song because of the words, and how they relate to you. Sometimes you love a song because it makes you think of a loved one. I love...
