"This was one of the highlights of last summer for me. Went with a friend with the original intention of just going for the Friday night to see the Bays. Thought we might as well throw tents etc in the back of the car just in case.. ...ended up having leaving on Sunday evening as we had prior commitments, would have loved to have stayed until Monday.Fabulous atmosphere, great location, very fine music and met some lovely people - I seriously cannot recommend this enough "

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Global Village Peace Gathering

The Global Village Peace Gathering is a three day annual event. The event is organised by a voluntary collective and as members, we are dedicated to operating the event in harmony with the local environment as well as with local community.

We provide a wide and eclectic range of entertainments for the public such as workshops, displays, talks and performances, including many "child centred" activities. We aim to make this a family friendly event.

The site on which we hold the event features several dedicated performance stages, stalls and cafes; not to mention the tranquil , natural surroundingsof the site on which it is held.

Over the past few years, a long term plan has been formulated for the land upon which the Gathering will take place. Hundreds of trees have been planted, the use of chemicals eliminated, and as a result the wildlife has been allowed to flourish.

The oxbow lakes and willow walkway, both well established, provide a peaceful space for relaxation, in contrast to the lively workshops, stalls and music stages.

The event provides busines to many local and national companies with good trading ethics. We are also committed to providing opportunities for local performers to showcase their skills at the event, in addition to the variety of international acts.
