Hey all, I'm a very social person. I like to interact with other people. I've been told I have a great sense of humor. Its very easy for me to make someone smile and laugh, which is a good thing because most people don't have enough fun in life. You only get one life, enjoy it or you're left with nothing. If you have one foot in the past and one in the future, you're pissing on today, so you better live for the present.
When I get asked the question, "How are you doing Dave?" The first word that comes to mind is 'happy'. I've finally got my life back on track after surgury last year, school is going great, and I'm not broke anymore. ;) One of the best things to happen to me was meeting my girlfriend, Janet. She's right, its a good thing we didn't talk to each other in high school, cause otherwise she probably wouldn't have given me a chance. ;) She makes me laugh and keeps me together, and I love her for too many reasons to list.
Hanging out on the weekends is always fun, except for the small fact that everyone I know works the weekends (ironic!). I wouldn't say I frequent bars, but I do like to sit back and enjoy a cold one. I'm a good listener, and for those of you that don't know me well, I'll do almost anything for anyone to help them out. Friends and family come first in my life. For anyone that's been a friend for awhile, notice I finally started posting recent pictures!
About me as a person, well, I grew up with both parents and have a great relationship with each of them. I have two younger sisters, one is almost 20 and the other just turned 12. Although I may not agree with my family the entire time, I know how it feels like to be cared about and for, which is a bigger deal than most people know. I am a moral person. The saying "I am my father's son" definetely applies here. I know I'm a polite person, and I'm very easy to get along with. Almost everything I know I learned from my parents. I have respect for others until they show me they are undiserving. I'm not the kind of person to be stepped on, I was in that category my entire childhood. When I was younger I was very overweight, no self esteem, etc. So, above all, remember the portly kid in your school is always the one that knows how it feels to be taken advantage of. I lost all the weight my junior and senior year of high school. Currently I'm 6'5" and 205 lbs. I am very avid about fitness and staying healthy. I also believe you can't change the person, you can only change your perception of that person. Although I look different, I never lost who I am. I'm the kind of person that cannot stand drama. I'm the kind of person that talks things out before acting on something. If I have something to say about you, I'm going to say it to your face, not go around telling everyone and their mother like most people. When someone has a problem with me, I'd rather they came to me directly. I often speak my mind unless it has a chance to injure someone emotionally. I'm not going to lie to someone to keep myself out of trouble, You do the crime - You do the time. That said, I am not a good liar, therefor I don't. I'm an honest person, and even if the truth hurts, I'll say something when it must be said. I can't stand long periods of dull moments or downtime, I need to be active or I'll lose my mind.
