About Me
NoFüknJoke (NFJ)
What once started out as a joke between friends turned into a full on, state-wide show team. A few of us started out attending shows here and there, which sparked our passion for the european car scene. One of our photographers, Wendell, would capture these events on camera using a very big lens, which we jokingly called the "nofüknjoke" lens...which ultimately became our name! We never really inteded to become a "team" or "crew," it just happend. Our "team" is not all about cars, our friendships come first...which is why we even have a few non-euro cars (shh!).
Originally, there were only about 5 or 6 of us which are all from the San Francisco bay area. We would hang out, have BBQ's, attend shows and GTGs, and work on our cars together. Over time we extended the "fam," as we would call it, from Norcal to Socal, eventually creating a team of 19 cars state-wide. We have attended shows as far North as Washington and down to Socal, including Dubwars, Dubfest, Waterwagens, New Dimensions, and numerous others.
Attending shows, events, and GTGs has proved to be very successful for NFJ. In the past few years, our cars have been featured in such magazines as Eurotuner, European Car, TPR, Fast Fours, S3, and PVW. With this exposure we have obtained quite a few sponsors like Meguiars, Falken Tire, Tunershop, Audiobahn, ACT Clutch, Status Racing, and ABD Racing. From Audis, to Volkswagens, BMWs, and even a Nissan 350z, we have claimed over 65 awards, 28 First Place, 19 Second Place, and 17 Third Place trophies.
Our plans for the future are to eventually extend our show territory from the West Coast to the East Coast, and take the cars to the next level by thinking "outside the box." All of us work full-time and/or are in College, so it is not easy to have everyone together at the same time. Time and money are the biggest obstacles, but dedication and passion have proved to be of greater worth to the "fam."
Above anything we pride ourselves on the basis of our friendships that we share with one another…the cars are just an added bonus! What once started off as a few friends tinkering with their cars has developed into a complete state-wide family…show or go, stock or modified, win or lose.
