About Me

Instruments: guitar, vocals, bass I picked up the guitar (an old nylon stringed Bjarton guitar) at the age of 9 after listening to my older brother's Stones and Hendrix albums. A couple of years later my brother brought home an electric guitar and a Marshall amp and that really changed my life. What a sensation! Suddenly I thought I really sounded like Hendrix. Another musical sensation in my life was when I, at the age of 16, for the first time heard Sly and the Family Stone's "Stand" and "Theres a riot going on" albums. Funk, rock and soul in a perfect mix. Fantastic grooves and great vocals! I had found what I was looking for and soon Sly, Prince and James Brown (to name a few) became my new heroes. I now live in Malmoe and work as a freelance/session musician along with working in a couple of bands and projects in both Sweden and Denmark. I have had the pleasure of working with the diversity of artists such as soul/rnb singer Laila Adele (Swe), country/pop band Calaisa (Swe), singer/songwriter Annika Askman (Dk), hip-hop artist Lilleman (Swe), hip-hop/rnb artist Barbie Esco (Swe) and stand-up comedians Claes Malmberg & Lenny Norrman (Swe). Im also a member of the band Duniya (http://www.myspace.com/duniya), an unsigned band that Im really dedicated to. You can hear a couple of demo songs on this site and some more on the Duniya site, were you also find more info about what the project is all about. Rare Grooves (http://www.myspace.com/raregroovesdk or http://www.raregrooves.dk) is another band that I'm enjoying beeing a member of. We are a live act that deliveres jam versions of old school funk and soul numbers. Malmö House Foundation (http://www.malmohousefoundation.com) is a collective of Malmoe based musicians that I'm a part of. We are 11 members and we play house music live. In our liveshows we have been blessed with guest apperences by such great vocalists as Sarah Dawn Finer (Swe), Laila Adele (Swe), Melo (Swe), Teresa Pozgaj (Swe), Peyton (GB), David Moore (US) and musician/producer Rasmus Faber (Swe). You can hear a couple of live tracks here but check out the homepage for more house and more info. I get myspace layouts at UltimateMySpace.com. Get this layout
