About Me

Smice Productions has been working with local musicians for 6 years. I believe there is no substitute to hard work, imagination, and persistence, and that the performance, not the technology, is what is truly valuable. That is what I strive to capture in every performance, band, song, and moment in the studio. I have condensed my services to maximize my skills and raise the quality of work to a higher level.I currently work out of Fuzzy Slippers Studios as their Head Engineer, with option services from my home studio. I personally own multiple pieces of gear that I can use on any session and inpart my sound into it. From the API Lunchbox w/512C pre's and the A Designs EM Series Blue, M-Audio MicroTrack and various microphones, my recording doesn't always have to be limited to a place. My microphone collection is distinct with eclectic gems like the Surround Sound Microphone, Holophone H3-D, Blue Woodpecker, Blue Mouse, SM7, Copperphone, EV635A, and the amazing Kick contraption Yamaha "The Subkick." I also mix and master using my Events ASP8's and NS-10's, along with tons of plug-ins like the SSL Waves Bundle, Gold Bundle, Universal Audio UAD-1 Studio Pak, Pro Tools Factory Bundle, Izotope Bundle, and various others.

My Interests

Currently indulged in the BLUE microphones and all there stuff. I own the Woodpecker, Bottle, Bottle Caps, Mouse, and 2 Robbies. I'm a BLUE slut. The Bottle is just too amazing to really grasp. 8 capsules, all designed to be like all these vintage mics. It just sounds amazing!!
