About Me


The Stockyards Championship Rodeo is held every Friday and Saturday night at the historic Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. It is a fun family sanctioned show that provides a captivating and exultant atmosphere for guests of all ages. The rodeo bestows a dynamite display of sportsmanship and competitiveness from each of our cowboy contestants. We feature several events that include; Bull Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Bareback Riding, Tie Down Roping, Team Roping, Breakaway Roping and Barrel Racing. We open and close each night’s show with the World’s most dangerous sport; Bull Riding. So be sure to make it on time and stay all the way through so you don’t miss any of the excitement.
Every night, kids get the chance to participate in the calf and mutton scrambles. Each of these two contests provides a safe and lively opportunity for kids to participate in the show. Each night’s performance is enhanced by a taste of live country and western singing and a drawing for a free pair of Justin Boots.
There is no better place to experience the Rodeo than the historic Cowtown Coliseum. Built in 1908, Cowtown Coliseum is the home of the world’s first indoor rodeo. Here at the coliseum we offer many popular conveniences including concessions, bars, VIP lounge and reserved box seating, all available to you every Friday and Saturday night during the rodeo. Another of our rewarding attributes is our Rodeo Shop, filled with copious amounts of western souvenirs ready for purchase.
Our doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8:00 p.m. You are more than welcome to come in early, get settled in your seats and prepare for a rootin' tootin' night at the Stockyards Championship Rodeo!
