About Me

lowsunday was a four-piece band out of Pittsburgh. Their music has been described as massive, dark, lush, atmospheric pop/rock. Until 1998, they were known as Low Sunday Ghost Machine.
lowsunday were among Musician's Magazine's, Best Unsigned Bands semi-finalists for 1996, and they have played with a variety of national touring acts, including Clan of Xymox, Dink, Human Drama, Breathless and Bile. lowsunday's unique sound is entrenched in a realm mixed with a variety of influences. The result is a blend of darkwave, european, pop, gothic, and rock n roll sounds.
The second full length cd, elesgiem, released mid-December, 1999, was immediately named to the top ten cd list of Pittsburgh bands by 105.9 The X. lowsunday signed with Projekt Records in January, 2001. The premier darkwave/ethereal/ambient/gothic label in New York City is home to bands such as Black Tape for a Blue Girl, Lycia, Love Spirals Downwards, Mira & Human Drama.
Sometime after the release of elesgiem, lowsunday disbanded and each member went their separate ways. Though they may be no more, their music will 'Shine' forever.
