About Me

Wally Worsley heralds from a musical family. His mother and father were both music majors in college and then teachers. Surrounded by music at an early age eventually gave way to Wally’s own interest in wanting to become a musician. He got his first guitar at the age of 12 and began to teach himself with the help of his father. Wally wasn’t the only one. His brother Drew was also creating his own path into music. The two would eventually pull their love and talent for music together to form the group Navel. Wally would continue to play with his brother for many years, all the while always working to make himself a better player and musician. Wally attributes a great deal of his musicianship to the support and teachings of his father. While admitting to not always understanding the music Wally and his brother would create, he knew the fundamentals of how music went together. Wally learned what it meant to play as part of the group and for the music. Over the years Wally has learned bits and pieces of all styles of music, all the while utilizing his skill and knowledge to create his own sound. Wally doesn’t just aspire to be a great guitar player, but to be a great musician and songwriter as well. He has written and recorded two studio albums with his brother in the band Navel. It’s not just about rehearsing and recording though, Wally also loves to perform. The music always comes first, but Wally also knows that along with good musicianship one must have good showmanship on the stage. Over the years of playing Wally has gained much experience on many stages across the U.S., and continues to do so. The stage has become a place of comfort for Wally, a place to shine through. Wally is currently on tour as lead guitarist for Will Thomas and the Will Thomas Band. http://www.willthomasband.com
