März 2009Das Babacools Soundsystem feiert seine Rückkehr im Backstage Sommer-Biergarten. Die Eröffnungsfete ist für Mittwoch, den 20.5.2009 angesetzt. Auf dem Programm stehen ein ausgibiger Open Air Livejam der Babacools Family, sowie Musik aus der Konserve, die dem gewohnten Stil aus der Atomic-Cafe und Cord Ära, mit einem Mix aus Reggae, Latin und Hip Hop, treu bleibt. Da wird wohl kein Tanzbein zu kurz kommen...
Das Dj Line-Up umfasst Resident Djs DeWil und Pocho sowie Lobstarr, MC Caramelo und DJ Mo Roots. Eine karibische Nacht in gepflegtem Biergartenambiente wäre also garantiert.
Einige können sich vielleicht noch erinnern: Im Sommer 1997 starteten wir erstmals unser Soundsystem im alten Backstage. Es freut uns sehr, dass wir nun im neuen Backstage Biergarten nach so langer Zeit wieder eine "Open Air" Sommerstation gefunden haben.

Se conoce Les Babacools, como casi ninguna otra banda, por la colorada experiencia en vivo llena de energÃa. Su mezcla de Reggae, Mestizo, Hip Hop y Urban Beat busca sus semejantes en este paÃs. La responsabilidad para elevar esa mezcla de estilos principalmente caribeños a la escena se debe a la combinación muy ancha y heterogénea de la banda que, empezando con la composición clásica (bajo, guitarra, baterÃa, piano) está extendido por las secciones de percusión y de viento.Los dos cantantes Lobstarr (canto inglés) y Don Caramelo (canto español) son considerados como autoridades estimadas (legÃtimas) dentro de la escena de Reggae en Alemania. Eso se debe a su participación en un gran número de compilaciones y proyectos (Raggabund y Caramelo & Criminal). Lobstarr, por el contrario, deberÃa sonar a mucha gente por su trabajo como MC con el Silly Walks Soundsystem en Hamburgo.El hecho de que Les Babacools soportaron todos los conciertos de Gentleman en su gira Confidence (2005) y las ovacionadas salidas a escena en los festivales de Reggae más grandes de Alemania (Summerjam y Chiemsee Reggae Summer) pusieron la banda al alcance del gran público. Con más de 250 conciertos en la gira Ya Basta en 2003/2004 y en la gira Mundo Stereo Tour en 2005/2006 Les Babacools podÃan consolidar su reputación como magnÃfica banda en vivo más allá de las fronteras de Alemania.La banda que ahora puede pasar vista a 16 años de historia participaba de manera decisiva en la creación de la escena de Reggae en Múnich por su Club-Regular Babacools Soundsystem.
