The year was 1998 when Premo first met with S-I-Q at a party. They started talking and discussing their mutual interests that turned out to be hip hop and rap. In short time they got together in S-I-Q's basement with a boom blaster, two microphones and a great collection of beats. They made covers of old hits such as Ain't Nuthin But A G Thang, Paparazzi and Back That Azz Up plus much more of that times greater rap-songs. This went on for a couple of years but obviously this wasn't enough. They got the chance to use a midi-studio for free in educating purpose and the production of own beats and rhymes soon came to light.
Slow but extremely whole-hearted they made a couple of songs and played it for their family and friends and got a average support of what they were doing. Time went on and they both grew more and more into their positions in this rap game. Premo was and still is a bonafide rapper down to the bone and S-I-Q took the steering wheel of the production boards meanwhile he was also rapping.
At the same time the forming of Kurse Crew was a fact with the members Premonitioner, S-I-Q and Emcee M (by that time going by the name The Latino Warlock). Premo and S-I-Q worked on and on with their music while Emcee M wasn't really ready for the microphone yet. Around the years 1999 and 2000 Kurse Crew took in a new promising singer called B-Bear Shorty to form the group with the simple name Kurse. Now the working members of the group was Premo, S-I-Q and Bear while Emcee M kept up his hustle in other divisions.
Now they got up to date and started producing for real. Premo took Bear under his wings and formed him into a rapper though he still was a born singer. S-I-Q continued to produce and rap and started to get a real good hand on the boards and in 2001 they released their first Demo-CD: At Least Something, with local hits like Fighting, We Won't Stop and Down With Us. 2001 went on and their first demo sold approximately 150 copies in one town alone. But the era wasn't over yet and they decided to take on the task to put together a sophomore release and in close time also that was ready and was given the name Concrete Poets and they released it in 2002.
With some live performances back in their home town and a finishing show in Gothenburg they decided to call it quits with Kurse and put their strength on other projects. S-I-Q took the name BiA that he still carries today and made the choice to put the mic on the shelf and to concentrate on the production part of his career. Bear also started to work more on his productions. Premo was at this time kind of sick and tired of rapping and took some time out from the game even if he still made some work with both BiA and Bear.
Until late 2004 the rapping was held on a very low frequency by Premo but then he and Emcee M had a little talk about the future and M felt he was ready to take on the rap game and start rapping for real. So they got together and built up a studio and formed the group P&M and in 2005 they started to record with BiA as the producer.
Today they're working mostly with BiA but also with some of Sweden’s top producers and artists and the rest is nothing but the future.Hip Hop needs a change and that is what I am here to deliver. I'm sick and tired of this damn "bling bling-era", people are always so hard and gangsta when it's not really necessary. I'm here to put some heart in to the Swedish rap-scene, even though I know it has been done before and still is pursued by a lot of people we need to make swedish hip hop REAL!!!
