Jeff Ramsey

Jeff Ramsey was introduced to the guitar at the age of 13 and has never looked back. Since his late teens he has been in numerous bands and ensembles. As of late, he is working for singer songwriter "Kaley Bird", The Nicky Tams (Celtic group), and the folk-rock duo "Fools Tongue." Aside from these groups he has recently finished an EP "Acoustic Soul" of his solo work which features mainly instrumental acoustic music. Jeff has progressed into a musician of many backgrounds and styles and is just recently obtained a Diploma in Music from Grant MacEwan; where he studied jazz and contemporary guitar. Jeff prides himself in his unusual approach to playing acoustic guitar, in which he implements various tapping, tuning, and harmonic techniques in order to create a sound that is at once original and noteworthy, and at the same time incredibly natural sounding in relation to his musical circumstances. Jeff also has a certificate in Arts and Cultural Management that he obtained from Grant Macewan College. His musical history is quite broad; he has played in played in Jazz bands, Rock Bands, sung in choirs. Jeff is no stranger to classical and contemporary music.
