BIOCedric Lyons was born and raised in Bakersfield California. His first interest in television production came when his home church decided to air their services on KERO ch23, an affiliate of ABC.At the age of 15years old he began volunteering for the television department as a camera operator which led to multi-camera TV directing and video editing. While learning hands on TV Production he expanded his career by shooting high school and college sports. While attending college he continued his quest by producing and directing live education programs for Cal State University of Bakersfield.His work was recognized by an affiliate of NBC who hired him as a live television News Director. In 1992 his station won an Emmy for best half hour news show.
In 1992 he moved to Los Angeles and spent some time working as a freelance contractor on various music videos, documentaries, award shows, and national commercials. Cedric worked on projects with well known celebrities such as Will Smith, Chris Issack, Patti Labelle, Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder, Shaquille O’Neal, Ice T , Jamie Foxx, Babyface and Lisa Standsfield, just to name a few. He also worked with major name brands such as Coke, Pillsbury, Nickelodeon, Gatorade, McDonalds, IBM, Lexus, American Express, Ford Ranger, Chrysler, Toyota, Blockbuster Video, Hershey’s, Northwest Airlines, Ocean Spray Drinks, Johnson & Johnson, Kraft, Farmers Insurance, Domino’s Pizza, MCI, Ford Ranger, Cheerios, Kellogg’s, Wheaties, Vidal Sassoon, MGM Grand Hotel, Levi’s, and MTV.In 1996 he accepted a full time position with a company based in the heart of Los Angeles. There, he helped manage a large multi- media department and served as the TV director and associate producer for their national television broadcast. He also trained and instructed interns and volunteers how to function in a multi media environment. He taught the basic structure of video shooting and television production. Some of his volunteers got the opportunity to travel and assist him on video projects for major conferences with mega ministries in various cities and countries around the world.Cedric has over 20 years of experience in television broadcasting and TV Production. His education includes a Bachelor degree in Communications and a certificate in Electronic Media. He learned most of his craft through various opportunities and hands on experience.
