Ciao. Bonjour. Hello. My name is Shea and I am a senior at Auburn University. It amazes me how the past few years have absolutely flown by, especially since it seems like just yesterday I was stumbling into Lane Hall at 3am on a Wednesday night. Life’s funny like that, I suppose. I’m getting my BS in Psychology with an English minor and am currently in the process of applying to graduate programs for Behavior Analysis....I couldn’t be more nervous/ excited! Children are my reason for waking up each and every day. They are my passion and I am so thankful to have found my calling through working with the autistic and developmentally delayed population. My family is my world. My mom is literally my best friend and my dad is the ruler by which all potential suitors must try to measure up...of course, that hasn’t happened for me yet. But I still believe my fairy tale will one day come true. I have a wonderful group of friends who mean the world to me and I cannot wait to move in with my best friend come August. She’s the ying to my yang. And yes, as you can see, I’m pretty sappy. I am the eternal optimist. The good Lord has blessed me far beyond what I deserve and I am grateful for all of my successes and failures for they have all shaped my life in extraordinary ways. I’m proud to say that I’m a southern girl, daddy’s girl, and (at times) rebellious little girl next door. And I wouldn’t have it any other way...
