About Me
Dior Carrel was born on August 29th, 1986 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Thriving on Madonna since she was in the womb (literally) she was greatly influenced and inspired by Madonna. This inspiration drove her to realize at age 2 that being a performer and entertainer was what she would ultimatly pursue and nothing could change her mind. She immeadiately took action towards accomplishing her dreams by begging her parents to enroll her in dance and voice lessons. Dior's talents were evident from the start and she began competitive dance and showcases at age 8. From Arizona dance studios including Plumb Performing Arts, LCK's Dancentre, Ballet Arizona, and Dance Connection to competitions and conventions, to school dance teams she submerged herself in the performing arts, while still continuing to sing in her church choir as well as school choir. Dior also began doing both print and runway modeling as well as radio voice overs for commercials. Dior also began sharpening her theatrical and acting skills heavily while in high school, which then led her to be accepted to UCLA's prestigious school for theatre, film, and television intensive. Dior moved to Los Angeles on her own after graduating and earning a diploma for high school early at age 17. She studied Theatre arts at both UCLA and Santa Monica College while continuing her dance training at the EDGE Performing Arts Center and Millennium Dance Complex. At age 18 Dior auditioned and was signed to DDO Artists agency for Dance, Acting, and Print Modeling. Thrilled that her dreams were so close she could taste them, she was still not satisfied due to the fact that she had not yet recorded any music. That was when she teamed up with R&B artist Riz, who took her under his wing and introduced her to mega producer and former Capitol Records A&R, Roy "Royalty" Hamilton, who has worked with major talent such as R.Kelly, Britney Spears, Joe, Michael Jackson, and N*SYNC. Dior instantly had chemistry with Roy's production company Firm Grip and began recording her demo. Dior has now finished a 6 track demo which was produced by Roy "Royalty" Hamilton and Raphael "Nazdaq" Hamilton, as well as she single handedly wrote three of the six songs and the others she co-wrote with Riz. Currently, Dior is now looking to sign a production deal to enhance her material by working with new producers as well as add to her material by adding more hits to her current catalogue. She is also shopping her demo to Major record labels. So keep your eye on this rising star because shes about to cause an earthquake with her impecable dancing and cant get enough hits!
