MAZAVALOHA : Clear Headed
Mazavaloha' s band was born in Madagascar in 1999 wih the foundation of IO Anay MADAGASIKARA.
Andrianaivomanana Lova (Mazavaloha) had already played through Madagascar in differents stages.
In Mahajanga, Antsirabe, Toamasina, Tsiroanomandidy and of course Antananarivo the main town of Madagascar.
The goal of Mazavaloha is to create a vision based on simplicity and positive vibrations.

Mazavaloha's Band a vu le jour a Madagascar en1999 avec la fondation de IO Anay MADAGASIKARA.

Le but de Mazavaloha est de creer une vision basee sur la simplicite et fondee sur les vibrations positives.
THE ZEBU OF MADAGASCAR .
The zebu was introduced in Madagascar with the migrations from Africa. Its name is coming from the kiswahili word "gnombe", from what in some regions of madagascar, the zebu is caled "aombe" or "agnomby". The name "omby" was taken by Ralambo (1575-1610) in Merina kingdom.
The zebu represents the power and the prosperity. During ceremonies, alcohol and the sacrified zebu meat "nofon-kena mitam-pihavanana" are offered to the assistance. This must be done to prove the solidarity and the union of the population. The blood represents the life flow and is collected into a pot made of soil. Because the earth is the mother.
The zebu is not only a symbol. It could be also used as reference. The young betsileo or merina (people from central highlands) mesurates his power with the zebu one by the "savika" or "tolon'omby". A violent and very dangerous sport practised untill now and that is very famous to the Malagasy population. Young men use this sport to seduce their beloved woman.
Even scientist have their theory of the origin of the zebu, a question always appears in Madagascar. "All Malagasy eats zebu meat. And everyday, more than 1000 zebus are killed in all the island. And to sell the meat in the market. But the number of zebus is still superior of Malagasy population. Where are coming all those zebus ?"
A very ancient mythology says that zebus are coming from the water. And a sort of magician raises them from that water sitted in Northern and South-East regions.
