About Me

I am "Furious" who records, produces and writes all his own music. I have been writing for many years and it is what I love and believe I do best. I have taken my obsession a step further as I am currently studying music. I have a band called KidsWithGuns which has currently been put on standby and I am concentrating on seeking other musicians to form a new band. Meanwhile I am getting my acoustic material out there by constantly writing and recording. Check out what I have to offer in a band enviroment at www.myspace.com/furiouskidswithguns. www.myspace.com/kobikyaa and www.myspace.com/pigeonsarebastards. I have usually crafted songs with my acoustic guitar before developing them using other instruments. I feel at this moment in time there is a market for acoustic solo artists and my emphasis is on well structured unique songs with original, interesting and inspiring lyrics.

Music? What does it mean to you? If there’s one thing in life that gets me up in the morning and motivates me its music. If there’s something bothering me or exciting me or I just feel I have something to say I could compose a song that might possibly be here till the end of time. I can explain or discuss anything through lyrical content, really, what better way is there to express feelings than music? It is very satisfying to create a song that has been born out of perseverance and dedication. Even better if it reaches a standard I am content with and other people give it recognition and have a positive reaction to me as a musician. This is an indescribable feeling of success and accomplishment! Being able to influence people in their daily lives through lyrics or melodies is so rewarding. People who feel to write or compose simply encourage like minded people and inspire their creativity to connect differently to one another in their approach to a song.Music has altered my beliefs and opinions about what’s possible. Music is freedom of speech, a voice for religion and a platform to overcome racism. Cultural and religious regimes and beliefs that occur through life are often found expressed through music. There is no specific way a song should be crafted which will appeal to the masses. There are so many different musical tastes and so much variety that it will be categorised suitably and appreciated by certain genres more so than others. Music is a universal language which has helped so many people comes to terms with what’s actually going on in the world rather than the distorted truth we are led to believe from the media and the network of news writers who exaggerate and deliberately twist stories to aggravate issues and sell worthless nonsense to the public.Through the last one hundred years some of the greatest musicians from around the world have collaborated with each other from different backgrounds and different origins to prove they have something in common which we all can relate to and yes, it is music. They share and preach what affects them and that it doesn’t matter where people are from or what they do. Everyone will get something different out of a song. Within the meaning and context of a song the same messages and beliefs are recognised by people and this is channelled through an audience to bring them together to understand that music can be sanity and act as a healer. Also, lyrics can often be a source of information that educates and provides a connection with people whether they want to understand or they don’t.We can all empathise with artists or imagine what they have been through during their lifetime. Often music connects with people for different reasons as anything can be explained or told through it which can capture people’s thoughts and imagination. Music generally creates an atmosphere or mood which is appropriate to the conditions it is played and it is usually easy to tell what the beliefs or feelings of the band or artist were when composing. As listeners we can either identify with, or just share these from the heart with anyone else who wants to be involved or has heard it.
