Motown Legends is a business-to-business resource for concert promoters and event planning professionals. The firm was formed in 2003 by its CEO, Paul Loeber, who is also CEO and founder of Entertainment Superstars. We bring top quality entertainment from the early days of Motown Records® to the world.
Our featured groups are Joe Billingslea and THE CONTOURS and The Original Vandellas.
THE CONTOURS, of course, brought the world Do You Love Me, the fastest rising hit in the history of any Motown Records® label! Joe Billingslea is the ONLY surviving original member of THE CONTOURS still performing. Today, 48 years after Joe and his group inked their deal with Motown Records®, Joe Billingslea and THE CONTOURS continue to awe audiences around the world.
During their career, The Vandellas scored two dozen chart hits, including two that placed on the top of the R&B charts. Who can forget Heat Wave, Jimmy Mack, Dancing In The Street? Today, The Original Vandellas include original members Annette (Beard) Helton and Rosalind (Ashford) Holmes as well as Tonya Hood.
Other available acts include The Miracles (Shop Around), The Velvelettes (Needle In A Haystack), Spyder Turner (Stand By Me), The Shades Of Blue (Oh, How Happy), The Reflections ([Just Like] Romeo & Juliet) and The Ladeez, a Motown Tribute act.
We work with promoters and event planners to create a perfect show that exactly matches your needs. Though most of our clients handle the arrangements for staging, lights, sound systems, etc., we have the ability to handle some or all of these tasks for you. We work closely with our clients to ensure the highest quality entertainment for your function.
Of course, when the groups performing are Joe Billingslea and THE CONTOURS and/or The Original Vandellas, the job is fairly easy. These groups mix supurb vocal talent with outstanding choreography to produce an energetic and thoroughly entertaining show.
