Born William Anderson in Upstate New York, 1983, Mel’s family made sure he was introduced to music at an early age. With having a music IQ at the age of 6, Melody..Q found his first tones with music by banging on pots and pans. As he got older he moved on to playing in church then sooner down the line became a member in the school band. The Niagara Falls, New York native developed a love for music and absorbed sounds from Hip Hop, R&B, and Gospel. The ambitious young musician soon gained interest in becoming a professional music producer. Melody..Q assembled one of Western New York’s rap groups aptly named Rocksta Fam with the partnerships of his brothers Chucky, Da Rocksta, Fosta, and Sino. As one of the main musical talents behind Rocksta Fam, the tracks he produced for Rocksta Fam generated early buzz in the local area and spread throughout Western New York. At the dawn of 2002, Melody..Q was chosen to be a part of the New York State Peace Tour to produce tracks and work with Music Artists. Some of his credits include the mix tapes Hot to Death Mix Tape Vol 3, and Rocksta Fam “The Gingerbread Fam”, Western New York’s leader of the new school mix tape. Melody became more desirous about his music career and moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he helped assemble a production team with the partnership of Tony “Staff” Jackson, Glenn Toby, and long time music producer partner Justin “J-Beatz” Searight and began pursuing music more intensely. His next major move was in the Mid-West by way of West Virginia. Here, Staff and Glenn Toby continually mentored him. Melody..Q continued on to elevate his sound and style to a more professional level and knew it was time to make known his existence. People became more opened minded and saw not only that the young producer was charming and humble, but with his unique soulful Hip Hop sound, he could be one of the most talented music producers to come out of New York State and revolve in the music business. Melody..Q challenges musical boundaries by carving out his own identity in today’s highly competitive market. His list of production credits resembles a plethora of textured and soulful music to fit seamlessly with any artist he works with. This young man has a résumé of experience under his belt and in the lights of having a bright future working with other producers and many artists, Melody..Q has just emerged out of the dirt, brushed his shirt off and is on the road of becoming one of the music industry’s icon music producers
