I'm just about to turn 25; might be experiencing a little bit of a quarter-life crisis.I come from a small town, went to school in a small town, and now live contently (for the moment anyways) in a not-quite-as-small town that still seems big to me. I love hot weather, though (the hotter the better), so New York is an odd place for me to have been born and raised.I just started a new job at a glass museum (The Corning Museum of Glass) on the "teaching" end of things- making glass with people of all different ages- and it's pretty awesome most of the time. I'm not a glass artist, though; I'm a painter. I love the Bay Area Figurative Movement and Richard Diebenkorn is the artist who inspires me the most. When I'm not working or painting, I like to bake, cook a little (I'm definitely a recovering Cookaphobic, but I'm learning to make things that don't taste like overseasoned pond scum), run when I have free time and the weather's nice, read just about anything, lie in hammocks, eat chocolate chips and peanut butter, and do lots of situps (I actually enjoy them).
