The purpose and mission of Covenants of Realized Enlightenment, a religious society (hereinafter “CORE”), is as as follows:

As a result of witnessing first hand how those who are “different” in some manner (whether they may be sickly, aged, poor, or may not conform to society’s perception of “normalcy”), one could not help but wonder how could man be so callous in the way he treated a fellow creation of God? This led our society to reflect on Jesus’ life and teachings, notably how Jesus taught how to love others regardless of their differences, or whether they were your “enemy”.

As a result of this reflection, the society was created with a purpose to teach one to love thy neighbor which necessarily requires an open mind and heart; recognizing that one’s strength is derived solely from the Lord himself rather than in the misperception that man possesses “powers” that are apart from what God has bestowed upon him.

Given that not all hearts are open to the grace of God, this prompted the necessity to spread Jesus’ teachings to enlighten individuals and encourage a closer connection with God. Through allowing God to strengthen and enlighten us we are “transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2). When we are enlightened by the Good News, accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, are open to receiving God’s grace, and work to establish a deeper relationship with Christ, only then are we able to interact, communicate, engage with, and contribute to the lives of each individual that we come across in a manner that is consistent with Jesus’ teachings.
