Midnight Ride was formed in 2001 by Pedro Zupo (drums) and Raphael Topo (bass) with Rafael Salvador on guitars and Gisele Vidal on vocals as a form to homage the great band Girlschool! After the first apresentation of Midnight Ride, Rafael leaves the band, being replaced by Henrique Vidal, Daniel Cesar Marques and Thaís, who made also the backing vocals, but she didn't stay for so long. Thaís leaved after her second show. In 2003, Gisele needed to leave the main vocals because of her studies, so another vocal joined the band: Natássia (Naty), who singed until begining 2007. In the year of 2004 Naty divided the vocals with Gisele, that leaved the band in the following year. In this year Midnight Ride was the finalist of the Bands Competition of Depósito Rock Bar, getting the second place of it. In 2006 august Lari Londero joined the band as backing vocal, singing with Naty, who leaved the band in 2007 to make another band with her boyfriend and some friends. Lari assumed the main vocals and in may of 2007 Ana Terra joined Midnight Ride as backing vocal, when the band was already the Oficial Girlschool Cover.
Criada em 2001, a Midnight Ride tinha como objetivo tocar os clássicos de Girlschool por hobby e para divulgar o som da banda britânica. Idealizada por Pedro Zupo Jr. (bateria) e Raphael “Topo” (baixo), o projeto começou a tomar forma com os amigos de conservatório Rafael Salvador (guitarra) e Gisele Vidal (vocal). Logo após a primeira apresentação da banda, no Instituto de Música Normal, Rafael sai da banda para montar uma outra de som próprio. Para conseguir um som mais trabalhado, foram chamados três outros guitarristas: Henrique Vidal, Daniel Cesar Marques e Thaís, que também fazia os backing vocals das músicas. Por motivos pessoais, a única guitarrista mulher da banda saiu logo após a segunda apresentação, na Festa Domingo Maior. Em 2003, Gisele se afasta da banda, sendo então substituída por Naty, que ficaria nos vocais até início de 2007. Ao longo de 2004, Naty e Gisele dividiam os vocais. Nesse ano, a Midnight Ride foi uma das finalistas do concurso de banda do Depósito, ficando em segundo lugar. Em 2005, Gisele sai da banda e Naty assume todos os vocais. Em agosto de 2006 Lari Londero entra como backing vocal até que, em março de 2007, Naty anuncia sua saída. Em maio de 2007 Ana Terra entra para a banda como backing vocal, dividindo os vocais com Lari Londero. Em novembro de 2006 a Midnight Ride foi oficializada como Cover de Girlschool no Brasil.
